Unafraid: Sickness, Growing Old, and Death

We all fear sickness, growing old, and dying. How could we not? But our faith teaches us we don’t have to be!

So many of the great heroes in the Bible didn’t even start their great adventures with God until they were retirement age. And if you look around, the same is true today! Old age may bring its challenges, but God consistently uses it to do the best things. And when it comes to dying… well, just look at the promise we see in Jesus. Death is not the end of our journey but the beginning of something new and wonderful!

Join us this Sunday to learn how to live your life expecting that the best is yet to come– a life that is truly UNafriad!

Basket Auction

Children’s ministry is hosting a basket auction to raise funds for classroom repairs.  In this album on Facebook, you’ll find pictures of the repairs needed and our baskets ready for bids.  Bids can be placed by commenting on a picture, contacting Miss Shaelee, or in the Narthex at the church.  winners will be announced May 20th at the All-Church Dinner.  Share with your friends–winners do not have to be members!!

Scholarship Applications

Any college student interested in a church scholarship must obtain a scholarship application from the church office.  Application deadline is June 1st. Questions?  Call 960-3249.

All-Church Covered Dish Dinner

On Sunday, May 20th, there will be an All-Church Covered Dish Dinner after second service in Fellowship Hall.  We are asking everyone to bring a main course and either a side or dessert to share.  Drinks will be provided!  At the dinner announcements from the Education Team will be made for the winners of the baskets from the silent auction.  Also, there will be a safety program presented by Lt. Bryce Burlie, from the Hutchinson Police Department.  He will be speaking to us about our safety in case there should be an act of violence at the church.  This is not a program to scare us, but rather a program to educate us.
