Weekly Update for July 5, 2018

Weekly Update

This Sunday: Jesus a Nobody?

Have you ever found treasure in the most unlikely of places?

This week we’ll hear of how many people who knew Jesus best looked at him and saw little of value, they thought Jesus himself was a nobody. But then came a leper, one of society’s outcasts, a true nobody. This man looked at Jesus and saw something deeper– and it gave him life. Come this Sunday to hear how YOU can find abundant life in Jesus, too!

  1. Some youth are playing softball this summer. You can catch games and support your friends on Friday nights at Lionette field in South Hutchinson.
  2. VBS is July 30- I’m looking for youth helpers. I’m hoping you’ll come!
  3. Every Sunday morning we meet for Sunday school. I would love to see more of you there!

Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Revival

Last year our choir was invited to sing at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church’s revival. Many went to support them, and a number of you found it so uplifting you went back for the other nights! The revival is happening again this year. If you’d like to go, it’s July 9-11 (Monday through Wednesday of next week) at 7pm each night. Macedonia is located at 1015 E. 7th St. and there will be a flyer in the Agape Garden hallway for anyone who wants to see it. It will be a rousing event!

Children’s Emergency Shelter Donations

The United Methodist Women would like to thank everyone who contributed items for the Children’s Emergency Shelter. The response toward this cause has been wonderful!  This is a need in our community that we have helped a great deal. THANK YOU!! I know the items will be much appreciated.
